CALVARY BIKE |
|
There are far and few cool religious themed bikes. And when I was asked if I could do a bike with the "Calvary" on it, I said sure. The customer was well aware of my style and said he wanted the purple flames used in the design. So we went for it.
The Calvary, three crosses make up the main design piece. Three crosses that are made out of nails and banded together. The number three is signifigant to the Trinity, the nails represent the three nails that held Christ to the cross, and also the Calvary is indicated by this design. Metallic Silver was used for the crosses and flames off the crosses which shimmers in the light.
Another religious aspect was added to the bike to represent Christ, the band of thorns. The bands run the length of the front fender, down the top of the tank and along the rear fender. The base coat is black with fine metallic purple flake, which becomes very visible in the sunlight, but looks black in the shade or indoor lighting. Purple flames were added in the background to give it depth.

Now that is a cool Christian bike!!
