Katies Custom V Star |
|
Katie's Custom 2003 VStar This Custom V Star has a black base with Purple Irredescent flames as a back drop to the graphics. The chosen theme of the bike is Native American (Mohawk Indian) with the dreamcatcher as it most prominent component in the art.
The purple flames are irredescent which look ghosted in regular lighting, and in the sunlight become vibrant with a sparkle to them.
The tank contains the purple flames and in the flames can be seen the face of a Native woman that was designed to stand out from the flames but remain subtle, so she was done with the same purples as the flames. A nice touch!
The Symbol in the center of the tank was chosen by the rider as it is taken from the Mohawk flag. The symbol is also surrounder by the purple flames.
The Dreamcatcher on the tank flows behind the Native woman and therefore is cresent like, two feathers flow from the dreamcatcher on each side of the tank.
Due to the slight color variations of the Native woman, taking a photograph of her proved to be difficult, but not impossible. Pictures just do not do her justice.
The same scheme of purple fire, the dreamcatcher and feathers are also on the front fender. the dreamcatcher receives a variation in its layout to enhance the shape to flow better than just circular.
The tag bracket is custom fabricated to be legal in SC, SC like those side mounted tags, they make a kill'in during bike week writing sitations for them, and/or it gives them a reason to stop you. So we were asked to fabricate a tag bracket that would mount to the fender without drilling more holes. We used the two up seat bolt since Katie rides solo. We also fabricated the tag bracket to be easily removed in three simple steps (yes, it includes a lighted frame which was already on the bikes side mount plate). Katies bike is a show bike as well as her ride, so the detachable tag bracket was designed for easy removal during shows.
The same style of dreamcatcher and feathers we applied to the rear fender as well.
